Pickling Spice

Each 1.5 oz pouch can be used for up to 4 pints of pickled veggies. I start with 4 cups of water, 2 cups of vinegar, and 4 tablespoons of salt. I combine the brine and put a tablespoon of the Pickling spice in the pot and bring to a boil. I put two crushed cloves of garlic in each pint glass, a tablespoon of the pickling spice and a fresh sprig of dill. I pack each pint with whatever veggie I am pickling and pour the boiling brine over each jar leaving enough head space to process. You can either process the jars in a water bath, canner or let them cool and add to your fridge to snack on soon.
